In addition to science, I am very passionate about sports! I love to swim, run, play soccer, and whatever other competitive activity you can think of. My next favorite hobbies include watching the Giants, 49ers, Warriors, and FC Barcelona.
I have been coaching swimming professionally for over seventeen years, following the conclusion of my swimming career. Most of that time I have been coaching the Marinwood Waterdevils of the Marin Swim League, though I have also spent many seasons with the YMCA Dolphins and Sequoia Aquatics of Marin, a USA Swimming team. Like teaching biology, I enjoy imparting my passion for swimming on my "student" swimmers. I am always impressed with their capacity for hard work and the desire to improve and have fun doing it!
